My name is Dr. Gunther Gijsen and I’m the proud creator of House of Glow, where Outer and Inner Glow intertwine. As a Medical Doctor with a Mind-Body-Spirit view, I believe that Beauty is a reflection of our overall well-being.
Let me share my personal story that inspired me to create House of Glow and embark on this transformative journey. In 2015, I was diagnosed with type 1 auto-immune diabetes. Within a few weeks, I lost over 14 kilograms of weight, and my life took an unexpected turn. While I regained my weight and strength through treatment, the changes in my facial appearance remained, leaving me feeling as if I had aged ten years in just a few months. My self-confidence took a hit, and I yearned to regain my natural beauty from before the onset of my illness.
It was during this time that I personally experienced the profound impact of Aesthetic Medicine. The treatments I received gave me a much-needed boost in self-confidence and helped me reclaim my natural beauty. This experience ignited a passion within me and inspired me to pursue this field of medicine.
Years later, in 2022, I faced another significant challenge when I went through a severe burnout. It was during this difficult period that I discovered the transformative power of lifestyle medicine and biodynamic breathwork. Through this practice, I was able to delve deep into the underlying causes of my burnout and embark on a healing journey. The profound impact it had on my well-being motivated me to undergo an intensive professional training program to become a licensed trauma-informed biodynamic breathwork practitioner myself.
Bringing together these two life-changing experiences – my personal journey with aesthetic medicine and my profound transformation through lifestyle medicine and biodynamic breathwork – has guided me to create House of Glow. I understand firsthand the impact that both Inner and Outer Glow can have on our overall well-being, and I am deeply passionate in offering these transformative services to my clients.
